Digital X-rays & Digital Panoramic X-rays
A digital Panoramic X-Ray is a two-dimensional (2-D) dental x-ray examination that captures the entire mouth in a single image, including the teeth, upper and lower jaws, surrounding structures and tissues.
A panoramic x-ray can also reveal dental and medical problems such as:
- advanced periodontal disease
- cysts in the jaw bones
- jaw tumors and oral cancer
- impacted teeth including wisdom teeth
- jaw disorders (also known as temporomandibular joint or TMJ disorders)
Intraoral Camera
Like digital x-rays, digital photographs taken with our intraoral camera are a useful diagnostic and patient education tool. This camera shows you what we see during your exam and helps us guide you through your diagnosis and treatment options. It also allows us to visualize more and diagnose issues we might not have been able to see without the up-close view that it gives us.
Dental Sealants & Fluoride Treatments
Dr. Dunn and her staff have experience with providing fluoride treatments and dental sealants as part our regular preventative dental healthcare. Dental sealants and fluoride treatments can protect your teeth from cavities and tooth decay. Although typically recommended for children, dental sealants and fluoride treatments can benefit adults, as well. At Dunn Family Dental we place great importance on preventive care and will do what we can to help you maintain your natural teeth for a lifetime.
Custom Nightguards & Athletic Mouthguards
Dunn Family Dental offers a full range of custom nightguards. If you clench or grind your teeth at night while you are sleeping, you could be causing damage to your teeth and gums. A custom fitted nightguard can prevent the clenching and grinding that is harmful to your dental and overall health. In addition to our custom nightguards, we also offer athletic mouthguards. If you participate in contact sports, it is vitally important to wear an athletic mouthguard to protect your teeth. Failure to wear a properly fitting mouthguard while participating in contact sports will leave you at risk for tooth traumas, injuries and even tooth loss.
